Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin is a Canadian and New Zealand actress. Paquin was born in Winnipeg and was raised by Wellington Paquin's mother, made her acting debut in the role of Flora McGrath. For this role she received an Academy Award of Best Supporting Actress in The romantic drama The Piano at the young age of eleven. She was the second-youngest winner in Oscar History. Anna Paquin's full name is Anna Helene Paquin. Born on the 24th of July, 1982 at Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, she was a Canadian birthed New Zealand actress. As an infant, she won an Academy Award for best support actress. Her performance as the empathetic and curious young girl Holly Hunter played in The Piano (1993) was the reason she won the prize. She moved into the United States as a teen. Paquin was played as the title child in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in the year 1996. She also played the lead role on the screen in Fly Away Home, a film from the year. Paquin played a minor role in the 1997 TV movie adaption of Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding. She also played the queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). The role she played was for teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000). Also, she played the role of a teen girl named Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
