Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Half English and half Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. Her father is an Argentine of Scottish as well as English heritage. Her mother hails from Spanish as well as English heritage. Taylor-Joy's siblings are four of her father's ex-married partners. The family was originally of Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria when Taylor-Joy turned 6. Taylor Joy claims that her move to England was very traumatic. She refused to learn English and was hoping to return to Argentina. Hill House became her school of choice after Taylor-Joy was forced to change schools. Later, she enrolled in Queen's Gate School to study ballet and act in the school's productions. After 16 she quit the school to take on acting as a profession. Taylor-Joy was destined to be an actor from a young age. The realization of her dreams came when Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modeling job.
